Warren Waste Water Treatment Plant
Warren, Ohio – Coates Construction is the low bidder on Contract B for the City of Warren WPCC and Pump Stations Phase 1 improvements. This $13.5 Million contract includes multi phased improvements to the Main Pump Station & South Leavitt Pump Station.
The work at the main pump station includes maintaining flows throughout construction; the rehabilitation of the existing 300+ hp pumps; site demolition; site process and utility piping and structures; an extensive temporary earth retention system; an addition to the existing pump station which will consist of concrete foundation walls and masonry exterior walls, and which will house new mechanical wastewater screens, flow control gates, monorail hoists, and pumps, including all piping, valves and other appurtenances. Once the addition and the included process systems and associated site piping are complete, a comprehensive improvement/alteration to the existing pump station will commence and will include new pumps, piping, valves, HVAC system, bridge crane replacement, and other enhancements.
The multi phased improvements to the South Leavitt Pump Station will result in both greater flow capacity and more effective screening of the effluent passing through the station. The scope includes a building addition which will increase the size of the wet well to accommodate a new mechanical screen, new pumps, piping, valves, flow control gate, and other enhancements.
